FBR identifies 60 un-integrated big retailers from POS

ISLAMABAD:- The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has identified a list of 60 unregistered big retailers who are required to be integrated with the FBR’s Point of Sale (POS) system by 10 Jan 2023.

In this regard, the FBR issued Sales Tax General Order (STGO) on Tuesday.

According to the order, these 60 identified retailers falling in Tier-1 are still operating outside of the Point of Sale System and are not depositing collected sales tax from consumers into the national kitty.

These retailers belong to Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujrawala and Sahiwal areas.

Through the STGO, the FBR has warned to these people to integrate with FBR’s system by 10th of January 2023 and the procedure of exclusion from this list of 60 identified T- lRs shall apply as laid down in STGO l7 of 2022 dated 13.05.2022.

Upon filing of Sales Tax Return for the month of December, 2022 for all hereby notified T-IRs not having yet integrated, their input tax claim would be disallowed as above, without any further notice or proceedings, creating tax demand by the same amount.
