ISLAMABAD (Eshfak Mughal):- The Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has set-aside the minor penalty imposed on four officers including three appraising officers and one principle officers of Pakistan customs Services.
The FBR has issued four different notifications on Tuesday about the set-aside the minor penalty imposed on four officers of BS-16 of Pakistan Customs Service Group.
According to the FBR, Mr. Mashooq Ali Panhwar, Principal Appraiser (BS-17) Directorate of Intelligence & Investigations-Customs, Hyderabad, Muhammad Zahid Arain, Appraising Officer (BS-16) Collectorate of Customs Appraisement (West), Karach, Muhammad Ibrahim Kurd, Appraising Officer (BS-16) Directorate General of Customs Valuation, Karachi and Zahoor Ahmed Khan, Appraising Officer (BS-16) Collectorate of Customs Appraisement (West), Karachi had filed departmental appeals against the minor penalties of “Withholding of one annual increment for a period of two years without cumulative effect” imposed upon them at different dates.
After going through the recorder of the cases, the Secretary Revenue Division (Chairman FBR), in his capacity as Appellate Authority, in exercise of powers conferred under Rule-6 of the Civil Servants (Appeals) Rules, 1977, has accepted their departmental appeals and set-aside the aforesaid minor penalties imposed on the four officers by the Authority (Member Admin).
