Two inspectors of Customs Department at Islamabad Airport was removed from duty

ISLAMABAD:- (Eshfak Mughal):- The Customs Department in the Islamabad International Airport has removed two Inspectors from their duty in the airport and requested to the relevant authority to initiate disciplinary proceeding against one of them inspector Ghulam Hussain Kalas on unruly behavior and unnecessary quarreling on the application of his subordinate.


According to the details, Additional Collector of Air Freight Unite Islamabad International Airport wrote a letter to the Additional Collector in Collectorate of Customs Islamabad (HQ) and mentioned that the multiple complaints against Mr. Ghulam Hussain Kalas, Inspector for his unruly behavior and unnecessary quarreling with colleagues, importers, exporters and agents have been received, therefore, he was counseled and verbally admonished numerous times for the same.


However, on Thursday, a complaint has been received from Anosh Tariq, Sepoy who has complained that he was performing his duty at MCD Section on 05th Jan 2023, when he took a break at 1300 Hrs for lunch; Mr. Kalas shouted on him and threw his meal away and harassed him in front of Mr. Asim Rasheed, Sepoy and Mr. Shoaib, UDC.


In view of the above, services of the said officer are hereby surrendered to the Headquarters. He also further requested that disciplinary proceedings may be initiated against.


According to another letter was sent to Secretary Admission FBR HQ and said the services of Muhammad Muslim, Inspector, Airport (Traffic) are hereby placed at the disposal of Secretary (Administration), FBR, Islamabad, for Security Duty at FBR (HQ) from 05.01.2023 to 20.01.2023.


It is pertinent to mention here that that Muhammad Muslim was placed on off duty on the complaint about taking bribe to clear the baggage at airport.


If the above said Inspector is on leave or otherwise, the officer Incharge shall be responsible to provide substitute of such Inspector from his available strength under intimation to (HQ) Office, said in the letter.
