Petrol pumps’ owners called off strike, Minister claims


ISLAMABAD (Eshfak Mughal):- The Federal Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar has claimed that the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association has called off their strikes after successful negotiations.

In a twitter, he said, “talks between the Govt and petroleum dealers association has led to the strike being called off. The govt will notify 0.99 paisa increase in their margins after due approval from cabinet as per existing summary. After 6 months we will move to % system up to 4.4percent margin”.

Still, the association did not confirms the statement of the minister and announced that they have called of the strike.

The strike of the owners of the petrol pumps has choked the country as public faced very difficulties to travel. They were finding oil to run their vehicles and motorcycles for reaching their destination.
