ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan ECP heard today the case proceeding against Maryam Nawaz appointment as party vice-president.
A three member bench of Election Commission of Pakistan headed by Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Muhammad Raza has adjourned the hearing of PTI’s petition challenging appointment of Maryam Nawaz as PML (N) Vice President till 4 July.
Maryam Nawaz counsel Umer Sajjad, PML-N counsel Jhangir Jadoon and on the behalf of petitioner Hassan Maan also appeared before the ECP.
Maryam Nawaz counsel has also submitted the reply and Jhangir Jadoon has failed to submit reply on the behalf of party president Shahbaz Sharif. The PML (N) counsel also sought time to submit reply.
During the arguments PML-N counsel said Petitioner has not yet provided the notification of Maryam Nawaz appointment, they have just given press clipping regarding her appointment.
Maryam Nawaz counsel has also provided the documented reply to media person, after the case proceeding. She stated in reply that there has no provision in the law to disallow the sentenced person from court to never hold the party office.
Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaaf Member National Assembly Maleeka Ali Bokhari and three others has also filed the petition and challenge the PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz appointment as party vice-president.
