ISLAMABAD (A.F. Kakar): Polling on the sixteen seats of tribal districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly will now hold on 20th July instead of 2nd July.
The Election Commission of Pakistan announced the change in schedule of polling on Wednesday.
The schedule change has also announced during the meeting, chaired by the Chief Election Commissioner Justice (Retired) Sardar Muhammad Raza and the Member Khyber Pakhtonkhawa Mrs. Irshad Qaiser & Member Punjab Justice (Retired) Altaf Ibrahim Qureashi also participated.
Secretary ECP Babar Yaqoob Fateh Muhammad, PEC Khyber Pakhtonkhawa, Home Secretary KP, Official from Ministry of Interior & Military officials also attended the meeting.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had also written a letter to ECP to delay the election in the merged tribal districts. KP government mentioned security reason in the tribal districts.
