SRINAGAR: Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry has condemned decision of Governor led authorities to lease out 60 kanals of industrial land to Forces.
KCCI Challenge the decission
Spokesperson said that the KCCI body to challenge the decision in the High Court.
A spokesperson of the KCCI in a statement in Srinagar said that the business community of the territory was suffering due to the unavailability of land.
Land handover to forces
Spokesperson said that the KCCI is on record to have asked the authorities, time and again, to retrieve land wasted under the occupation of the forces to make the same available for industrial and also commercial use.
“It was surprising evacuating the occupied land, the administration announced that it was in the process of identification of land for creation of small Satellite Industrial Estates of around 40 kanals, the huge chunks of prime industrial land were being converted into camps and residential quarters for security forces,” the KCCI spokesman said
He added that already more than 300 kanals of land belonging to the Zainakote Industrial Estate also transferred to different wings of the forces.
The spokesman said that KCCI was also considering to approach the High Court, in this regard.
