SRINAGAR: Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two Kashmiri youth in Shopian district in IOK, today.
The Indian troops killed them during a cordon and search operation in Satipora area of the district.
A joint team of the army, Special Operations Group and Central Reserve Police Force conducted the operation.
The authorities and locals identified them as Basharat Ahmad and Tariq Ahmad.
Media reports quoting police said that Tariq Ahmad was a former Special Police Officer. He fled along with his service rifle on 26th April, last year, they further said.
The authorities snapped the Internet services in the southern district.
Meanwhile, Indian forces launched a cordon and search operation in Hugam Srigufwara village in Bijbehara area of southern Kashmir’s Islamabad district.
A joint team of army, CRPF and SOG cordoned off Lone Pora, Hugam village and conducted searches, an official said. However, the authorities called off the search operation after nothing was found.
