Finland Honorary Counsel calls on Advisor to PM on Climate change Malik Amin Aslam

ISLAMABAD: Mr. Asad Ansari, Honorary consulate of Honorary counsel  Finland called on Advisor to Prime Minister on Climate Change Mr. Malik Amin Aslam on Friday.

Mr. Asad Ansari conveyed that the Embassy of Finland lauds the unprecedented Ten Billion Tree Tsunami Project and Government of Finland shows keen interest in assisting the incumbent government to achieve this momentous and esteemed environmental protection initiative.

Mr. Asad Ansari conveyed to Mr. Malik Amin Aslam the well wishes of Finland’s Ambassador  and his willingness to meet advisor in the coming month for further formalising the term of references (TORs)in supporting the billion trees initiative.

Advisor to Prime Minister on Climate Change Mr. Malik Amin Aslam welcomed Finland interest in the 10BTT project and apprised Mr. Asad Ansari that under the anti-encroachment drive by the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the incumbent government has recovered 25000 acres of land and the Prime Minister wishes to utilise the confiscated land for tree plantation.

Mr. Malik Amin Aslam remarked that once the term of references (TORs)are formally inked between the governments, it would be likeliness to allow Finland Embassy to plant tree.

The meeting between Advisor Mr. Malik Amin Aslam and Finland Ambassador and under Secretary is scheduled next month to further elaborate and enhance the cooperation and confirmation of MoUs.
